RESURFX® is one of the newest and best non-ablative fractionated resurfacing lasers available today. It can resurface damaged skin on the face, neck, chest, hands, and other areas, to reveal younger, more refreshed skin, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, scars and brown age spots. How it Works

The ResurFX™ module has a state-of-the-art CoolScan™ scanner for non-sequential scanning. The patent pending algorithm places each fractional spot in a controlled manner to protect the tissue from heat accumulation and overheating. This ability is unique to the ResurFX™ 1565nm fiber laser. The ResurFX™ handpiece is equipped with continuous contact cooling, to increase patient comfort during treatment.

What can it treat?

The ResurFX laser can improve:

How many treatments are needed?

ResurFX is completed as a series of treatments. Because it is a limited downtime procedure, it usually requires multiple treatments for significant and meaningful results. Typically, at least 3-4 treatments about one month apart are necessary to obtain optimum results, although this varies by the individual and their goal.

When will I see the results?

The Lumenis® Photofractional™ treatment works with your skin to stimulate deep collagen regeneration over a sequence of treatments. Already after the first session, you may begin to notice improvement in skin tone and pigmentation. Typically, about 3-4 sessions are needed to have visible improvement in the skin texture. Optimal results are typically achieved after 3-5 sessions in 2-6 weeks intervals. However, you may continue to see improvements for up to six months following the treatment.

What can I expect after treatment?

Immediately following treatment, you may experience some redness or swelling, depending on your customized treatment settings. The swelling will usually diminish after a few hours and the redness as quickly as the next day or over the next few days. Most patients are able to resume their daily activities the very same day. You should stay out of direct sun for a few days following the treatment and apply sun screen.
