Thermage treatment utilities a technology called Radio frequency to create deep dermal heating. This tightens loose, stretched collagen fibers and stimulates new healthy collagen production to create a thicker, stronger healthier skin.

The treatment is undertaken by placing a cooled treatment tip onto the surface of the skin; a pulse of radio frequency energy is then delivered which penetrates down to the dermal layer of the skin to heat collagen fibers and subcutaneous tissue.

How does Thermage work?

The Thermage procedure employs a patented radiofrequency (RF) technology to tighten and gently lift skin to smooth out wrinkles and renew facial contours. It delivers a controlled amount of RF energy to the deep layers of the skin whilst simultaneously protecting the outer layers with active cooling. The deep uniform heating warms the deep collagen of your skin to about 60°C. The effect is two-fold. Firstly, the collagen denatures and the fibrils contract and thicken - immediately tightening the skin. Secondly the wound healing response causes dermal remodelling - causing additional tightening of the skin over the next 3-6 months.

What does the Thermage treatment feel like?
